This timeline reflects Carbonera's journey from a research idea to a leading company in the field of sustainable technology.
Dr. Maha obtained her master's degree in inorganic chemistry for her research on the safe recycling of waste to produce environmentally friendly nanopolymers, which were successfully tested in water treatment at the Central Laboratory for Water and Environmental Technology at Damanhour University.
I participated in a workshop with a select group of Egyptian university professors to develop curricula in line with sustainability and Egypt's Vision 2030, in partnership with the Center of Excellence for Water and Agriculture at the American University in Cairo, and under the supervision of Utah State University in the United States.
- Dr. Maha joined the professional level of the "Be an Ambassador" initiative under the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, supervised by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, and was certified as a trainer in the field of sustainable development by mid-2024.
- The research idea to develop carbon nanomaterials from agricultural waste as part of innovative and sustainable solutions began during her participation in the WEF Nexus School workshop at the American University in Cairo.
Completion of the first prototypes of carbon nanomaterials and their successful testing in industrial applications.
Joining an interdisciplinary team that includes experts in research and development, marketing, and finance.
